Behind the scenes: rebuilding the Creator OS for the third time
A look at what changed in the latest version of our flagship template, and the customer feedback that drove it.
The Creator OS is on its third major rebuild, and this one came directly from support emails. The pattern was consistent: people loved the content calendar, then got stuck connecting it to product launches. Two databases that looked related on paper had no real relationship in practice.
So we restructured around a single Projects database with a type property — content, product, client — and moved launches into it as a filtered view. That sounds small. It cut the setup walkthrough from fourteen steps to six, and testers finished their first project entry in under four minutes.
We also killed the habit tracker. It was the most-deleted block in the template, and I had been defending it out of stubbornness. Removing it made room for a simple weekly review page, which testers actually used.
The lesson is not that feedback is always right. It is that you should watch what people delete. Deletion is honest in a way that survey answers are not.
If you already own the OS, the update email goes out this week with a fresh duplicate link. Your existing setup keeps working; the rebuild is opt-in.
