How to build a product launch dashboard in Notion that you'll actually open
A practical walkthrough of the four databases and two views that keep a digital launch from turning into a pile of sticky notes.
Most launch dashboards fail for the same reason: they show everything at once. If your home view has fourteen linked databases, you'll check it twice and then go back to your notes app. The fix is to build around one question — what ships next — and let everything else live one click away.
Start with four databases: Products, Tasks, Assets, and Channels. Products holds one row per thing you're selling. Tasks relate to Products and carry a status and a due date. Assets are files and copy, also related to Products. Channels are the places you announce things, each with a template for the announcement itself. That's it. No fifth database until you've used these for a month.
Now build two views and only two. The first is a filtered task board: status is not Done, sorted by due date, grouped by product. The second is a product gallery showing cover images and a formula property that counts open tasks. When the count hits zero, the product is ready to announce. That single number replaces most of the project management you were doing in your head.
The part people skip is the asset relation. Attach the sales page copy, the email sequence, and the screenshots to the product row as you create them. When launch day arrives you're not hunting through Drive — you're opening one page and copying what's already there. Boring, unglamorous, and the reason the dashboard survives past week three.
