From scattered notes to shipped products: a simple Notion setup
A practical walkthrough of the workspace that helped me launch three digital products this year.
Last January, my digital product workflow was a mess: ideas in one app, tasks in another, client feedback buried in email threads. I was spending more time managing the system than building the product.
So I rebuilt everything in Notion. The core idea was simple: one workspace with three linked databases — Projects, Tasks, and Notes. Each project has a status, a deadline, and a connected task list. Notes are tagged by project and stage.
Here's what changed: I now start each week by reviewing my Projects database. I can see which products are on track, which are stalled, and what needs to move forward. The Notes database captures every scrap of feedback or idea, tagged to the right project, so nothing gets lost.
It's not fancy. But it works. I shipped my first template in February, and by June I had three products live. The system has held up through launches, client work, and life.
If you're drowning in scattered notes, try this: create three databases, link them, and start each day by checking your Projects view. It took me a weekend to set up, and it's saved me hours every week since.
