How I built a simple client portal in Notion (and stopped losing files)

I used to send files via email, then hunt through my downloads folder to find the version the client actually approved. That stopped when I built a client portal inside Notion.

Start with a Clients database. Each client gets one page with a project rollup, a file gallery, and a shared view that they can access via a public link. Lock the view so they can only see their own stuff. Add a feedback database where comments are linked to specific files.

Now every client has their own portal. I drop files into a gallery, they leave comments, and I never lose track of revisions. The whole setup takes about 20 minutes per client — and saves hours of back-and-forth.
