How I structure my Notion dashboard for freelance clients
A behind-the-scenes look at the dashboard I use to manage 15+ client projects without losing sleep.
I’ve been freelancing for four years. In that time, I’ve tried Asana, Trello, and a dozen spreadsheets. Nothing stuck until I built my own Notion dashboard.
The key is separating the noise. I have a single page with three sections: active projects, pending invoices, and upcoming deadlines. Each project gets a database entry with its own page for notes, files, and tasks.
I use linked databases to show only what’s relevant. For example, my “Today” view pulls tasks due within 24 hours across all projects. No scrolling through lists.
The result? I spend 10 minutes at the start of each week updating my dashboard. That’s it. Clients get clear status updates, and I never miss a deadline.
