How to Build a Content Batching System in Notion (That Actually Sticks)

Stop writing your content one piece at a time. Here's a proven Notion setup that lets you plan, write, and schedule an entire month in one sitting.

You know the drill: Monday you scramble for a newsletter topic, Tuesday you record a video, Wednesday you post on LinkedIn — and by Friday you're wiped. Batching solves this, but most people fail because they don't have a system that tracks it.

Start with a Content Hub database. Each row is a piece of content, with properties for Status, Type, Platform, and Date. Add a view for 'Upcoming' and one for 'Draft' — that's your pipeline.

When you batch, you work in phases: Plan (choose topics), Create (write raw), Edit (refine), Schedule (set dates). Use a template to pre-fill each piece with a checklist. This turns a vague task into a repeatable flow.

My favorite trick: add a 'Batch Day' property and group by it. You'll see which pieces belong to the same batch, and you can drag them through status columns together. It takes 30 minutes to set up and saves hours every week.

Try it with just one week of content first. You'll see the difference in your energy — and your feed.
