How to structure your Notion dashboard for maximum clarity
A practical walkthrough of the three-section dashboard I use to keep every part of my business visible at a glance.
Most Notion dashboards fail because they try to do everything. You end up with a page that's a wall of databases, and you still can't find your next deadline.
The fix is ruthless segmentation. I use three sections: Today, This Week, and This Month. Today shows only tasks due today or overdue. This Week surfaces priorities for the next seven days. This Month gives me a high-level view of projects and milestones.
Each section is a linked database view filtered by date and status. I use a single 'Tasks' database with a 'Today' view that filters by 'Due: Today' and 'Status: Not Done'. The 'This Week' view uses the same database but filters for the current week. This keeps everything consistent and avoids duplication.
To build your own, start with a blank page. Add three toggle blocks, one for each section. Inside each toggle, create a linked view of your master task database with the appropriate filter. Then hide the database properties you don't need — just show the bare minimum. You'll be surprised how much clearer your day becomes.
