Release note: Freelancer OS v2 is live, with a rebuilt client pipeline
A new pipeline view, a lighter dashboard, and a migration path for existing buyers.
Freelancer OS v2 is out. The headline change is a rebuilt client pipeline: one database for leads, active projects, and past clients, with a board view that actually reflects where a deal sits. The old version split these across two databases, and in practice that meant duplicate entries and a pipeline that only stayed accurate if you were disciplined about it.
The dashboard is lighter. We removed the habit tracker (nobody used it) and the daily journal (used it, but not here). What's left is this week's deadlines, unpaid invoices, and a short list of open proposals. If you want journaling, the separate writing workspace handles it.
Existing buyers get a fresh duplicate link by email and a two-page migration guide. The short version: duplicate v2 alongside v1, move your active projects over, archive v1 when you're comfortable. No rush, and no data is lost either way.
One thing we didn't change: the invoice database still exports to CSV for your accountant. Several people asked for a native integration instead, and we looked at it — it would add a dependency and a subscription for something a CSV solves. If your situation is different, tell us.
