Release note: Launch OS v2 is smaller, and that's the point
We removed 14 pages from our best-selling template. Here's what changed, what we kept, and why fewer views beat more.
Launch OS v2 is live in the library. The headline change is subtraction: 14 pages gone, three databases merged into one, and a setup guide that fits on a single screen. If you bought v1, the new version is already in your downloads.
The old version had a separate page for content ideas, drafts, and published posts. In practice, people only ever used the drafts view and let the other two rot. Now there's one Content database with a status property — Idea, Drafting, Scheduled, Published — and four filtered views on top of it. Same information, a third of the clicking.
We also killed the built-in habit tracker. It was the most-deleted section in every customer workspace, according to the setup questions we got. Habits live in your calendar, not in a project tool. Removing it made room for a proper weekly review page, which people actually asked for.
One thing we didn't touch: the launch checklist. It's the reason most of you bought the template, and the structure holds up. We just tightened the copy so each item is a verb, not a category.
If you're upgrading, duplicate v2 into a fresh page and migrate the rows you still use. Don't paste over your existing setup — the property types changed, and Notion won't always warn you before it breaks a relation.
